An engineer in his past life, Hal Taylor has built over 300 custom rocking chairs over the last 16 years in his shop in Fredericksburg, VA. In addition to making chairs Hal also offers week long apprenticeship programs for both accomplished and aspiring furniture makers in his shop. He has also written a book on making rocking chairs and most recently published a DVD on his chair making process for people interested in learning how to make a Hal Taylor rocking chair.
